Learn how you can create extraordinary digital artworks wih your mobile device and the Procrate app. Led by published artist Keely Van Order, the class will explore a range of themes including imaginary creatures, symbolism, sci-fi and other mythological genres.
The course is an ideal introduction for anyone interested in exploring digital design and painting before investing in more advanced software.
You’ll learn how to work with layers and use digital tools to create a broad array of styles including sketch, paint, drawing, stamp, clone, selection tools and airbrush. You’ll also gain a clear understanding of image quality when uploading files, photos and backgrounds.
Best of all, the easy-to-grasp tools on Procreate will make working with larger digital painting software programs later a cinch

Please bring to class your own iPad (and charger) with a copy of Procreate downloaded. This App is available as a relatively inexpensive download from the Apple store. An iPad stylus pen is also recommended however it is not necessary.
About your tutor:
Keely is a professional artist with a background in digital media, printmaking, painting and drawing. Her works have been exhibited and are on display in several collections internationally and recently in Canberra. She has a masters of visual art from the ANU.
