Learn how to do simple repairs on your favourite books. Small class size allows you to pursue your choice of individual projects under expert guidance.

This course will be co-taught by Rachel Sawicki and Robin Tait.

This class assumes no prior bookbinding or bookcraft experience. Suitable for beginners or continuing students.

About your tutors:
Robin trained as a Paper Conservator at the University of Canberra before studying at the University College of the Arts, London and the Brockman Bindery, Oxford in Hand Bookbinding and Book Conservation. Robin has worked extensively in paper and book conservation, establishing the Tait Bindery in 1986.

Rachel Sawicki is a UK qualified Book Conservator with over 10 years experience in the repair of historic books and manuscripts.
