Graphic Design Basics

This course explores the elements and principles of graphic design and is relevant to those needing some basic understanding of graphic design for the workplace or private use.

After an introduction to basic design principles the course will then explore the Adobe Creative Suite programs Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. You'll learn to use all three at a basic level, applying creative thinking towards the creation of a final design project.

The course is offered on a MAC platform.

About the tutor:
John Garrard has 25 years’ experience in the IT and graphic design industries during which time has designed and built websites; created design for corporate identity, branding and logos; produced an extensive range of promotional material for clients including flyers, brochures and posters and produced commercial and educational videos. John runs his own graphic design company.
