A contemporary and inclusive approach to Classical Yoga, classes are adapted to seasonal changes and students' needs. Each class is divided into 4 parts: Breathing and centering exercises; gentle warm-up, stretching and strengthening movements; physical postures/workout; warm-down and relaxation.

This is an Intermediate class.

About your tutor:
M. Christine Boulan-Smit (PhD) has been practicing yoga for 25 years. From a European background of gym, dance and aikido, she studied Stretch and Flexibility with Kit Laughlin in Australia and trained and taught Samyama Yoga with Bill Giles. She also practiced as a yoga teacher with Annie Hengelrath (Switzerland) and Luciana Proano (USA). As an anthropologist, she worked with traditional healers, teaching yoga in Peru, Indonesia and Australia. Christine has been teaching two Samyama Yoga classes with CIT since 2008, in Hawker College (neck, shoulders & back pain) and Dickson College (intermediate level).
