Get into the festive spirit with this Christmas themed course. Suitable for anyone with basic decorating skills, you will learn how to make a Yule log, a traditional gingerbread house, a reindeer out of fondant and themed cupcakes.
The class is ideally suited to those who have completed the Introduction courses.
NOTE: This class will now run on Mondays, not Thursdays as originally advertised.
Unless otherwise notes all Short Course classes are for students 16 years of age or older.

An additional cost of $25 for each enrollee for specialist equipment, specific to this class, is due to the tutor at the first session. This covers fondant icing, cake boards and consumables. This must be paid for in cash. All kits are discounted to warehouse prices. Each student will need their own set of equipment. With the time constraints of the class it is not possible to share.
In addition to your kit you will need to supply 12 cupcakes in week 2, square 8" cake tin for week 3. Gingerbread house slabs, royal icing and lollies for week 4 (please also bring a water bottle this week as people tend to eat A LOT OF LOLLIES!)
The recipe for the modelling paste is the same as in Introduction 1. Carry over items from Introduction 1 and Introduction 2 kits needed in week 1: CMC, Sugar Glue, and modelling tools. Please contact Jenny prior to class if you don’t have these items and they can be brought to the first class for you.

Jenny is the Vice President of the Cake Decorators Association of the ACT. She has been teaching her popular Introductory and Continuing Cake Decorating courses with CIT Solutions for a number of years.
