You will need to bring a pair of safety goggles and safety gloves. We also advise you wear old clothes and sturdy, covered-in leather shoes.
You will also need to bring your own lunch as the canteen is not open on weekends. Tea and coffee are available.

About your tutor:
Marko Zarak has worked in the building industry for 25+ years, during this time he has worked primarily with masonry and masonry product, constructing buildings and sculptural structures within the ACT. His work includes the James Turrell skyscape sculpture at the National Art Gallery of Australia, restoration works to Regatta Point restaurant and information center and the installation of the fountain in front of the Canberra Theatre.
In 2009 Marko commenced working as a teacher for CIT which included teaching a number of subjects ‘Cert I in Engineering Construction’ to college students (introduction to the construction industry), Cert III Horticulture (Brick laying and block work, concrete structures) Cert IV Building and Construction (Structural Materials and sustainable building practices), and teaching the Diploma of Building and Construction (structural principles for construction for medium rise) and OHS Risk management procedures. Marko has also taught Diploma in Interior Design and Drafting students in structural materials/principles for designing internal spaces, in both commercial and residential applications. For the last three years Marko has been Manager of the Building Construction Compliance/Audit Team Building Inspector for Construction Services Environment Planning Directorate. Amongst his many qualifications Marko has a Bachelor of Industrial Design, Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
