Aquaponics - Introduction

Course Image

Let an industry professional show you how to set up your own backyard aquaponic system, growing fish and organic vegetables in a symbiotic environment.

Aquaponics is a combination of Aquaculture (fish farming) & Hydroponics (intensive plant production). These systems are specially designed to optimise the sustainable use of water by allowing the growth of two crops from one body of water.

Self-sufficiency is the key where you will learn the rules and regulations, different types of aquaponic setups, fish and plant selection, water quality, nutrition and disease prevention.

Suitable for anyone interested in pursuing aquaponics for personal interest.
