This one day course covers basic editing and proofreading skills applicable to any work environment. We look at the all important difference between editing and proofreading: at editing issues such as readability, register, wordiness, pomposity. Also important grammar rules that will assist your ability to proofread and discuss the tools available to you to help make your proofreading task easier.

About your tutor:
Sussan has lived in Canberra 25 years, with a teaching background for 20 years, specialising in dyslexia and autism.

She has recently been facilitating contracts in the public service; general writing courses; speed reading; report writing; minute taking; editing; grammar and punctuation; ESL.

Sussan has a passion for grammar and punctuation, seeing a real need for it in the business domain. Her philosophy is: People can run, but cannot hide from the need to write. Anyone can learn to write - it is just another skill that can be learnt.
