This two session workshop will show you how easy it can be to master cable knitting and then use the technique to create interesting variations. You will undertake two projects includihg a headband and cushion.

In order to complete the in-class projects you will need the following:
4 balls of 8 ply yarn (3 in the one colour for cushion). Yarn must be a solid light colour - no variegated or dark wool.
1 pair 4mm needles
1 cable needle
A kit with all the above will be available for purchase in class for $25.
About your tutor:
Lee Scott was taught how to knit by her grandmother and has been a passionate knitter ever since. She is constantly updating and improving her own skills, taking advanced courses and attending craft retreats and conferences whenever they are offered.
She first started teaching knitting, crochet and Macramé in the 1980s. She has a long standing association with the ACT Embroiderer's Guild where she facilitates a monthly fibre and yarn group and teaches a new knitting, crochet or tatting technique every second month. She has also taught workshops at craft fairs.
Lee and her daughter recently opened an online yarn shop, supplying yarns that are produced in a sustainable and ethical way including those produced by women's community projects in countries such as Africa, Tibet and Afghanistan.
